1st team took all 3 points away to second in the league pemberton. Just 4 mins in when a 2 footed tackle saw pemberton reduced to 10 men. Mitch were patient and had several 1/2 chances and one real opportunity which fell to jake maguire. Pemberton keeper saved well down to his left while mitch keeper Chris Mitch Fc Murphy had only one contribution in first half to tip away a cross at back post with great athletisism. Ben Bárñes hit the bat late in first half from a stunning ball in from Dean Bentham. Game bypassed midfield in a poor first half. 0-0 2nd half saw mitch take the lead with a Zac Alger penalty after Frankie Draycott was fouled just inside the box. Pemberton got a penalty of their own 10 mins after, ref saw a handball but failed to notice what shirt he was wearing! 1-1. Mitch then went straight upbthe other end and scored within mins if restart as ball was bundled over the line. Pemberton through players forward but failed to create anything in open play. Mitch had several good opportunities on the break with jake maguire, Darren Pennington and Paul Bird fustrated not to have put daylight between the two sides. Not the best performance of the season but considering pemberton game plan was gbh, well take three points and remain top of the league! COYM
