This workshop will to help you showcase your most valuable asset...you. Actors must be aware that there is an art to auditioning. No matter what level you are at in your career, an audition will always require thought and careful preparation. What works for one will not necessarily work for all. Viv will help define what works for each actor and their personality. You will gain the tools to be able to audition with confidence. You will learn how to collaborate effectively and respectfully and learn to create unforgettable performances. Day #1 - (10-4pm) – Viv will coach each actor on the material they will be using for Tiffany Day #2 in their “mock audition.” A great day for hands on learning and you’ll get a lot of helpful tips by watching your fellow actors and the challenges their scenes provide. Day #2 - (10-4pm) – You will start off with a 2 hour warm-up. Then you will audition for Tiffany, with her giving feedback as you go. Next will be a Q and A with Tiffany (ask those questions you’ve always wanted to know the answers to). Then the day finishes with Viv giving each student their specific notes from Tiffany. Viv will carefully prepare you to deal with the ever changing climate of the audition room including Sit- Coms. He will also provide pointers on a number of rarely discussed areas: from knowing when to sit or stand, to shaking hands or not. Viv has literally seen it all from both sides by being a reader for most casting directors in the city. Knowing what to do in all these situations allow you to remain confident and shine in your auditions.
