2 Thessalonians 3:15 Do not count him as an enemy, but admonish - TopicsExpress

2 Thessalonians 3:15 Do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. Many times, Christians become too judgmental and quick to condemn and instead of warning their fellow brothers and sisters of the problems and consequences that their sins can bring, they decide to judge them and push them away. We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world and cities on a hill. When we rebuke, when we discipline, when we admonish, we need to do so with love and understanding and realize that this discipline is meant to restore our brothers and sisters not harm them or cause them to go astray or lose their way. When we go astray, the Lord disciplines us, not because He does not love us but in the contrary, it is because He loves us so much He does not want us to go down the wrong path and drift away from Him. Things may seem difficult for us when we go through discipline but in the end, the Lord is omniscient and knows what is best for us and bring us to the point where we will be restored and refined and transformed into the men and women we are meant to be and following His will and purpose for our lives.
