2 states a NICE film! Nice being the only adjective operating here. Smartly handled camera work, a collage of colours and perfect college background (perfected by Dharma productions). It seemed like everyone involved knew their limitations! Arjun Kapoor knew he cant get cat calls from the fairer gallery because he knows hes not a Ranbir Kapoor nor he possesses the Greek God good looks of a Hrithik Roshan so he played it according to his limitations. The Bhatt girl knows that she does not carry the oomph of a Kareena or Depika, but could muster the typical gal next door aura and was aware of her boundaries. The adaptive nature from a novel was somehow quite apparent (although the three hours duration could well be edited shorter). It has its moments, if I could use an analogy it was like a Pujara who knows he cant bat like a Miller yet does his job or when we buy a beverage from a fountain we know we cant expect the same fizz like from a can!! But yet it does its job. 🎥
