2 year old Ebony is still trying to figure out how she went from a Brooklyn street to a cage at Brooklyn ACC. Not happy to be cooped up and restrained, she never the less let herself go through an intrusive medical exam. Though she was found to be in good health when she came in, Ebony has now come down with the shelter “cold”. And when she went for her behavioral assess 3 days after she got there, Ebony was still nervous about the whole experience. And all things considered, she did pretty well. She wasn’t thrilled about that hand trying to take the food away and when that strange dog came in, she ran towards it but not in an aggressive way. Poor Ebony just has no idea of how she’s supposed to behave under these awful conditions. No one has come for Ebony and she needs to find a new home. But ACC has decided they have no more time for her and put her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. What a shame to lose such a gorgeous, young dog! Can you see yourself walking down the street with her or throwing a ball in the back yard. At 2, Ebony is really just a toddler in doggie years and she no doubt needs to learn about grown up doggie things. Can you see yourself teaching her those things? If you can see it all, step up to foster or adopt Ebony. But do it right now—tomorrow Ebony will be gone forever and we will all lose a gorgeous, young girl!
