2014-08-05 PORTUGUESE COMPANIES JOIN TOGETHER TO BUILD INDUSTRIAL PARKS IN MOZAMBIQUE Four Portuguese companies, GET2C, Fabriwatt, Grupo Lena and Ecochoice, have joined together to build industrial and energy efficient parks in several still unidentified regions of Mozambique, the Mozambican newspaper Correio da Manhã reports. The initiative is inspired by the EcoParques project, a business space where productive activities operate parallel to the environmental factor, a model very much in vogue in Europe. To that end, representatives of the four companies encompassed by the Portuguese Business Talent Enterprise Network (BTEN) visited Mozambique in 2013 to discuss Mozambican market trends with respect to business reception infrastructures. Information from the BTEN also indicates that the model to be adopted should help attract investment and encourage rational investment in infrastructures. After Mozambique, the organisation aims to expand to Angola.
