2014 Coca-Cola Classic 5K in Sioux City, Iowa. Chilly morning in a 20-25 mph wind tunnel (they dont believe in trees in Iowa. Or South Dakota. Or Nebraska, for that matter.). I finished 2nd among the ladies (13th overall) in 22:24. Bad news: part of the race included a stretch along the rendering plants that helped to give Sewer City its name and Ive been coughing for two hours. Pretty sure that I have tuberculosis. Good news: I found Bells Oarsman Ale in Sewer City. If I have to spend the rest of my days as a member of the Doc Holliday Lunger Club, at least Ive got some good beer to dull the pain.
