2014: Latest, January: Rs. 81.31 2013: The price in 2013 saw a significant increase with the rates climbing up to Rs. 78.56 in December 21 from Rs. 69.73 in May 2013. 2012: One of the rare instances where the prices actually dropped considerably. In May of 2012 it was Rs. 78.57 and it came down to Rs. 73.53 in November. 2011: Another major increase this year, from Rs. 63.08 at the start of the year to Rs. 70.65 in December. 2010: Petrol with 0.005 percent sulphur introduced, leading to marginal increase in retail prices.
