2015-- Here we come! First, Ive had a glass of wine so thats my disclaimer. Second, Im totally emotional because of family health issues that were dealing with so Im particularly sensitive. And third-- well third, is what follows. I have to say after the whole issue I had with my publisher, Bird Street Books I went to a real dark writer place that only a fellow writer can really understand. You see, when you put your heart and soul into something and then are completely and utterly ignored by the people that were supposed to be your biggest champions some tiny part of your sparkle inside dies a little and you have to fight HARD to get it back. Thats how I can describe what happened to me. Being ignored by my publisher for NO reason--literally--NO REASON made me want to pull out my hair (I got a bunch of white hairs instead-- which TOTALLY sucks by the way). Were almost to 2015 and Im still dealing with Birdstreet and working on a release date for Mad Love 2 with a new publishing company. It was SO hard to keep it all in for so long when everyone asked where the sequel was and thought I was just stalling. I have to say, the truth really does set you free. But you guys are what made everything worth it and made me keep going. Honestly. Knowing that I had fans who truly loved Sophie & Clayton like me, who wanted to see their story continue is all a girl can ask for. Ive dreamt of being an author since I was a young girl. I always wanted to write romance novels. To have people enjoy my work is everything. EVERYTHING. I wrote the screenplay for the movie and am really happy with it and believe that 2015 will be good (to EVERYONE) ... so heres to a new year, health, new beginnings, Mad Love 2, dreams coming true and positivity.
