22/10/2013 Today’s Meditation: Galatians 2:19-21 A Tip To Galatia 7 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” Gal 2:20. The way to life is death. For men to live eternally in heaven with God, Christ had to die on the cross for sin. For a grain of corn to bring lively harvest, the corn must die in the soil. For a man to be alive in the spirit, he must die to the flesh. Any spiritual life that is not preceded by death is a mere hallucination. Those who are not ready to die to the flesh are really not ready to be alive to the spirit. “knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him” Rom 6:6-8. “And those who are Christs have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” Eph 5:24 The truth of the matter is that every man in relation to sin is a dead man! You are either dead in sin or dead to sin. If you are not dead to sin, you are actually dead in sin. “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others” Eph 2:1-3. That is the true position of every sinner; that was our position before we were made alive in Him. We were dead in trespasses and sins; we walked according to the course of this world under the control of Satan the prince of the power of the air. That was what we were saved from if truly we are in Christ. Now that we are alive in Him we are now dead to sin. To be alive to sin, you have to be dead to God and to be alive to God you must be dead to sin. It is not possible to be alive to sin and alive to God at the same time. “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God” Rom 6:13. Friend, the difference between those who are in Christianity religion and those who are in Christ is this matter of death. Those who are in religion are “serving” God (as they think) though with their lives of sin still intact. But those who are in Christ Jesus are dead to sin and alive to God. To be dead to sin does not take a personal struggle; it takes total submission to God. It is not a matter of “trying”; no man tries to die. You need a simple faith in the finished work of Christ. You need a visit to the cross by faith where the life of sin shall be totally dealt with. To do this however you must be truly tired of your life of sin and sincerely ready to submit completely to God. You cannot keep sin at one corner of your heart and approach Christ for transformation. That is where the problem is. Many people are not truly ready to part way with sin; they still enjoy the world and all its “fun”; at the same time they want to enjoy God especially they want God to provide solutions to their problems. A man who wants to be dead to sin will not see God first and foremost as problem solver but as life changer. The matter of his spiritual transformation will be of more importance to him that the problems God will solve. If men seek God today for the transformation of their souls with the same passion with which they seek Him for the solutions to their problems, really, they we have less problems to approach God for! You and I can be free from sin; we can be dead to it and be alive to God. This is what true spirituality is all about. You are not a Christian until you are dead to sin and alive to God. The Lord will raise men to raise you; your destiny helpers will locate you and deliver uncommon help to you from today in Jesus name. I declare a permanent end to frustrations and pains in your life today in Jesus name. Have a lovely day; I love you!
