22/6/2014 - White Watch -Atlantic 85 Lifeboat Launched as usual for Sunday exercise - intention to go to Selsey LIfeboat Station to exercise with their ALB - however at 11:00 Solent Coastguard called the station and asked permission to task the lifeboat to attend a speedboat with engine trouble one mile south east of Selsey lifeboat station - as we were in the vicinity. When the Atlantic85 arrived on scene the three speedboat occupants had managed to get the engine going but it was hunting and not running well. Hayling lifeboat contacted Solent Coastguard and it was agreed that the Lifeboat would escort the speedboat back to Chichester harbour. Once in the harbour in the Mid Winner area the speedboat was passed over to the Chichester harbour patrol rib who took over the speedboat escort and the Hayling lifeboat returned to the station 12:05 wind F3 SE
