22 years ago tonight, there was no trick or treating for us. Susan and I attended our last Lamaze class as Susan was pregnant with Crystal Randall who was due to be born on November 24th, 1991. Little did we know that about 12 hours after the completion of the class, on the morning of November 1st, 1991, we would be back at the hospital and holding our precious little girl for the first time. Our lives were forever changed and we had no idea what was in store for us. We had no clue how to take care of a baby or raise a child and there was no instruction manual provided as we left the hospital. On Crystals first birthday, Susan and I celebrated the fact that we kept someone alive for a whole year that was 100% dependent on us for everything. Thank you Crystal for being such a good baby, for being our guinea pig and for putting up with everything we did as we learned how to be parents. We love you very much and are so proud of the young lady that you have become. It is hard to believe that it has been 22 years, but, 22 very good years which we would not trade for anything in the world. Happy 22nd birthday tomorrow baby!!!!
