23,609,000,000 Euro ! - thats what Ireland would like to borrow from the EIB for infrastructure, guess who pays?. Irish state is ONLY one of EU countries that insists on REDACTING ie hiding from its people the cost of each notional project, only hard figures is 600 million for france interconnector, other Eirgrid/Esb projects total 3,615 million euro , also hiding any objections/obstacles to wish list, due to commercial sensitivity. these are semi-state companies. ec.europa.eu/.../plan/docs/project-list_part-1_en.pdf pages 260 on... Included in wish list are plans for sewage treatment , transport, and very tellingly wind farms for ESB/COILLTE/BNM . Sadly government lacks the courage to print actual costs that these projects will impose on the tax-payer, EIB have at least subtotalled the madness, up to us to guess each project costs. Transparency & accountability is redacted - great word. Thanks to Stil Day for uncovering this .
