24 years ago I heard for the first time the truth The Black Man is God. Those words had the effect on me that the words The White Man is the Devil had on Malcolm X. Since that fateful day I have obsessively studied the Truth of God academically now for 24 years. All of my higher educational work in the classroom and my scholarly work outside of the classroom focused the Black God. The great success we were blessed to have this weekend in Boston, especially with our Brothers whom we spoke to in the prisons, got me reflecting. Allah has allowed my 24 years of obsessive work on the Black God to pay off handsomely. He has blessed me with the ability to successfully and effectively communicate the truth of the Black God to all of the varied ciphers: from students on the court yards of Black campuses to the so-called gang bangers on the streets of Chicago; from the lecture halls in New York to those in Los Angeles; from my academic white colleagues in the Ivory Towers to our Black brothers doing time in Americas prisons. The Brothers in the prisons - most of whom were men doing life sentences for murder and other such crimes - clamored around me at the end in a way that, I was informed, was not at all normal. When I represented the Truth of God in Mainz, Germany in 2002 to my non-Black academic colleagues at the First World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies, they too clamored around me afterwards. As very different as all of these ciphers are, both linguistically and personality-wise, Allah has blessed me to successively speak the various dialects and connect with the different personality types and communicate the Truth of God. By Allahs grace my work of the Black God has been recognized by a very motley assortment of spiritual and intellectual lights in America: from Jewish professors who actively recognized it with ease to Jewish professors who passively recognized it but with great chagrin; from conservative Mormon scholars from Brigham Young to more radical Branch Davidians, both of whom enthusiastically embraced my work on God; from a top Sunni Muslim imam and scholar who openly but very begrudgingly recognized it to the greatest recognition of all: that of the Apostle of God, the Honorable Brother Minister Louis Farrakhan. Forgive me Fam if I am feeling like I am on my Lebron James *Ish right now with the Black God.
