25 DAYS OF BLANKETS Day 10: SPINNING This is always amazing to watch when hands spin wool into yarn, but its even more incredible that a machine can handle such a delicate task. The pencil roving comes off of the cones on the top and is spun as it is then wound onto the bobbin at the bottom. Its so fast you can hardly see it! Think back to the biology of a wool fiber. The shaft isnt smooth like hair, its got scales like the side of a fish.
