My dear Respected Friends My sincere thanks and gratitude to Ms/Mrs Anie Nunnally who has written in “The Golden Path “ Interviews with Disciples of sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville I wish to share my guru Sri ANURAKTA and his interviews Shri.Anurakta . ( Manager of Sri. Aurobindo Ashram Hand made paper And occultist for the new age) A profound Yogi and Occultist, established himself in Supreme Consciousness, a Britisher by birth and yet harmonized and synthesized the great traditions of the West and the East, universalized all Deities to realize the One; he lives in Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry. In his little hut inside the Sri Aurobindo Hand Made Paper Factory, he is found deeply united with The Mother pouring down Her infinite Love, Compassion and Help to the bereaved.. His recent state of Consciousness has established in absolute Divine state and when asked about his present state he explained that now he is holding together The Mother and Sri Aurobindo in the heart, who are preoccupied in transforming his physical cells. Shri. Anurakta , whose name was given by the mother, and means Lovingly Devoted-One Enamoured , is a sensitive man with round face and fair skin. His eyes are deep blue and though he speaks with a slight stammer he has great inner strength and possesses a highly developed capacity for mental concentration. QUESTION: What were your special talents? What were your childhood ambitions? ANSWER:I had no special talents .My parents split up at the beginning of the world war II and after many difficulties my mother remarried in order to give my sister and me a home I did not like her husband and having developed a stammer. I began writing poetry . I knew nothing about other religion. I aslo wanted to be a fashion designer. QUESTION: Were you aware of a spiritual presence in your childhood and when did you first aspire deeply for the Spiritual life? ANSWER: I was slightly aware as I had one or two uplifting experiences in church as a child but I began to aspire for a truly spiritual life in East Asia in the late twenties when I discovered Hinduism. QUESTION: How do you see your early life as being influenced to your coming to the yoga of Sri Aurobindo? ANSWER: Non-attachment ! I aiso now realize the divine hand that was involved in talking in stammer nineteen year old boy to Centa;l Africa who then hitch- hitched through Central East Africa to Kenya and lateron to an explaination of india in 1960 QUESTION:.How did you learn of Mother and Sri Aurobindo? ANSWER: I was told about Mother and Sri Aurobindo in Nairobai., Kenya. Iattened some meetings there and planned a month’s visit to the Ashram in 1960.
