28 years, a number, the whole of India has etched in their minds. This evening that number sprung up again on TV screens across India. The prize not as big as last time we saw this number flash, but, the taste of victory sweeter than it has been ever before, a victory for redemption of pride, a victory for all those Indian Test Cricket fans who waited for almost 3 years to see their team in whites celebrate a win overseas, a victory at the Mecca of cricket, Lords. The orchestrators, some the most inexperienced players of that 11. The first timers, Rahane and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Well, for them it was one shot at goal and one goal. First time at Lords and they go right on the honors board. Then come, Vijay, Jadeja and the man in the firing line Ishant Sharma. The man who was ridiculed and insulted by Indian fans, vented all that on the England players with some exceptional piece of short pitch bowling. To bat on a green pitch first and to bowl out England on a dead pitch on the last day, the Indians did it all. Well, somewhere exeprience had to come into play, up steps our captain to mastermind the short pitch plan. After every wicket he jumped and fist punched the air, as if he was punching his demons, very unlike him, but, after the last wicket he remained the cool himself with just a hint of smile and no dancing around. As if his heart pumping to run around like crazy and celebrate, but his mind taking control and telling him to be the all cool MSD!!! Lords conquered!!! Lets conquer England and rebuild!!!!
