#2966 We ALIGARIANS are lucky to live in Aligarh. 99% Aligarians DO NOT know that Aligarh is famous in the world and Aligarh is very very famous among the MUSLIMS of FRANCE! Here i will tell you something that is not known by most of the people in Aligarh about their own city. Some years back Islam was present very little in France. There were very few Muslims in France and very little mosques. Then during the last few years Islam grew a lot in France! Islam grew so much in there that the government got afraid and started doing stupid things like banning the Niqaab. This rise of Islam there can be credited to one single person - and that person is from our very own Aligarh!! Now read ahead if you really are interested in the details. Note: I am hiding the name of this person and will refer to him as "S". I will not add any title like Mr or Maulana or Prof to his name just to conceal his identity for 2 reasons. No.1 reason is that he hates publicity - and he does not like people mentioning his Deeni work. He never talks about the work he has done and does not want to get famous. The second reason is that he is famous among the Deeni and true religious people of aligarh and some so called modernist muslims do not like such religious people referring to them as mullahs. Okay here is the story. After graduation from AMU i went for further studies in France. I used to go to the mosque there for namaz and slowly I made friends with the other french muslims coming to pray. Those peope were like real muslims which cant be seen in India! Practicing 100% Deen. One day a person i did not know started talking to me and when he found out I was from Aligarh he got very excited! He called out the others and they all came to me with excitement - "Oh you are from Aligarh how lucky, then you must be knowing person "S". I was puzzled i had no idea who this s person was. This story kept repeating. Whenever someone found out I was Indian he would ask me about Aligarh and when they would know i was from aligarh itself they would become super excited and ask about person "S". It was then i came to know about person S. He had come from Aligarh to study in France at a time when there were very few Muslims there. With his studies side by side he started working for Deen there, seeing the condition of Muslims which was such that they did not even pray Jumma namaz. He worked among the Muslims. The work he did was so great that soon Islam started spreading there! He came back to Aligarh and now the fruits of his hard labour can be seen there. Almost every Muslim there is a true muslim with such great akhlaq that people are impressed. They follow Deen completelty with 100% Sunnah. If you meet any Muslim from France you can ask about this person and there is a big chance that he will be knowing his name!! And the people know this as person "S" from Aligarh all over France! If you do not believe me you can ask anyone there! A LOT of aligarians know about this person, its my HUGE request, if you know this great personality please do not mention his name in the comments! He does not like publicity. After coming back to Aligarh I had a great desire to meet him. I went to the mosque where he comes to pray. I had an image of him created in my mind. I was thinking he will be some super big personality. I prayed Asr Namaz in aligarh, in the mosque where he generally comes and met him. When I met him I was shocked - He was the most down to earth and humble person I had ever met. I shook hands with him - they were the most soft i had ever touched. He had a clear bright noor on his face. I could not look at him in the eyes. I made salaam, requested for duas and came back with a wonderful feeling. SK- (y)
