2nite during dinner w my daughter just out the blue she asked me if I heard the Anonymous recording in regards to Michael Browns murder!! I told her I heard about it but havent actually heard it!! She asked me if she cld pull it up on my phone bc she wanted me to listen to it!! So while shes pulling it up she says, mom its really scary, all of this, I cant believe all of this is real now those who truly know my 13yr old daughter know that shes not afraid of anything! (She sho dont get that from her mama Lbvs) Shes never been afraid of the dark, thunderstorms, getting a shot from the Dr. Office or anything else a typical child may b afraid of!! & those who know me know I stay on her for always thinkn shes so tough & how even sometimes a little too careless w/o a worry in this world esp as she gets older!! its not that I want her to worry, I just want her to b cautious & aware!! Dont get me wrong Im extremely proud that she feels she can hold her own @ times but I just dont want her stuck in the mindset of, oh thatll never happen to me & just thinkn she always has to b tough!! anyway the point is this fearless child of mine actually admitted to me for the 1st time that shes scared of something & that something is our city currently!! SMH!! It left me speechless, & even after I did find the right words to say it still left me feeling uneasy, angry, sad, & so much more!! I still have faith in our city, I still have faith in us.....not only as male or female, black or white, light skin or dark skin......but as the human race!! Prayer works & Justice will prevail!! #changewillcome
