2nite on #TheTalk with Vanessa... #NightOfSecrets Dear Vanessa, I would like to withhold my name for security reasons. I’m a boy of 23yrs old, 300level Engr Student. I got into school when i was 191/2 years old. My parents are very wealthy and i’m the first son and first child, one of my young one is in the same school with me studying medicine while our last born is in secondary school. When i entered school i met this guy who was very helpful to me in school with my registrations, my way around school, he even protected me from some boys who were trying to harass me back then etc. He was in his 2nd yr at the time while i was what they called a “jambito”. I really liked this guy, i trusted him, i would do anything he asked of me and we grew closer and closer,we even visited home and i introduced him to my parents. One day, he invited me for a party and told me that the dress code was black...in his word “color for big boys”. I agreed cos i didn’t have any reason to doubt him. On getting to the place, it felt like the party was held because of me, everyone there knew me even though i didn’t know anyone there, all of a sudden my friend was nowhere to be found....To cut the story cut (i can’t give you all the details here),it was an initiation party into a Cult. I joined without having a say in the matter because i was too terrified to refuse. I don’t want to bother you with all i’ve done with this group in the last 2yrs since i enjoyed but Vanessa i’m tired. I want to leave but i feel stuck and i don’t want anything to happen to my sister who is school with me as well, cos to her,i can never hurt a fly.. These guys are ruthless and mean .What should i do? How to i get out of this mess?
