3/6/14 Dear Honorable Governor Brown, I have been writing - TopicsExpress

3/6/14 Dear Honorable Governor Brown, I have been writing you every single day since December 1, 2013. I write you because I believe in America and I believe that tomorrow should hold a brighter future for all of us. I am extremely upset that Police Officers all across America are shooting our Pets on a large scale. I want Police Officers trained to not shoot Our Pets and I want them prosecuted on Animal Cruelty charges when they use excessive Lethal Force on our Pets. There is no excuse for shooting Our Pets. My next door neighbor is a Police Officer and he told me that when he chases a suspect he often has to chase them by jumping into backyards that have Pet Dogs, and he told me that on three occasions he encountered Pet Dogs that he could have shot, but he didn’t. I thanked him for being a good Police Officer and using good judgement when he encountered these Pets. Not all Police Officers care about the welfare of Our Pets. The Police Officers involved in the shooting death of Max the Rottweiler that was executed on 6/30/13 in the City of Hawthorne told the Owner, he’s just a Dog, after shooting him 4 times at close range while the Owner begged for the Dogs life. It seems that the shooting of Our Pets has become a hunting sport, this is unacceptable. This is not the America that I want to see. Sincerely, Patty Jackson
