#3 Im thankful for our beautiful, warm (most of the time) home. Im thankful my kids get to grow up in a home they arent ashamed of, but are instead proud of. Im so thankful Ted and I were able to buy these 5 acres to build a home of our own on. Im thankful I live out in the beautiful country surrounded by trees and birds and wildlife. We see deer, turkeys, vultures, raccoons, skunks (not my favorite) squirrels, chipmunks, and many species of birds. We have been slowly adding on landscaping,a basketball pad, sidewalk, trees, a large pool, huge wooden swingset, and now are finishing up our screened in back porch. Our children have a giant backyard to play in. A large woods to drive their 4 wheeler in, and lots of room to ride bikes. We have camp fires, let off....ummm sparklers ;-) on the 4th of July. We can play loud music and have parties without complaints from distant neighbors. Our home isnt the grandest, fanciest, or most elaborate, but its ours. We created it. Im thankful for this little piece of earth we call home.
