3 black males (one wearing a bright green shirt and one wearing a black shirt) and a female (wearing a bright pink shirt) were up to no good at the house next door. I told them to leave (I only saw the one male at the time) and he told me to put my dog up. He was over 100 yards away and KoKo and I were in my yard at my porch. I told him he needed to get out of there. He began throwing large branches towards KoKo. I picked up my phone and called the police. The green shirted male then yelled something toward that house and 3 more individuals came from the far side of that house. They began approaching my driveway where the green shirted make stood. KoKo went up about 10 feet so she stood between me and them (they were still a good 75 feet away) and ferociously barked at them. They left while I was still on the 911 call. I told her they went towards Atlanta Street. She attempted to hang up but I asked her to stay on the phone as I walked to the end of the drive so I could tell them which way they turn when they get to the street. I saw a cop car was already there and had them. I told her that was them. Another officer came down to talk to me (I called the owner of the house quickly first) and he basically said -- well in the area you live in you have to expect trouble. EXCUSE ME?! So there is a line where you can get away with being in the yards and on the porch of someones home you dont know and throw things at someones dog and its ok?! The owner and the cop and I walked around the house to see if there was any damage, and windows were broken on a window at the side where I saw those 3 persons come from. But because I didnt see it or hear it we cant blame them. And the story THEY gave -- they were passing through (pause here: number one they are admitting to being at the house and number 2 there are only 2 residential houses on this circle, neither of them theirs and they have no reason to be down here!) and my dog charged at them, so I called the police. What?!?! I requested the officer contact the parents of the juvenilles (the female is NOT a juvenile, I dont now how many are) and inform them their kids need to stay away from this street and that at night I come out with not only my dog but a gun. So -- if anything happens to me tonight, you all know what went down here. I refuse to be bullied in my home and on my street. I own this house and I pay taxes and I have the right to expect to be protected from troublemakers....and if not, Ill protect myself. Watch me.
