#30 #Daily_Series_2 #Title_The Unaccustomed #Part_13 By #Augnaayee Biswas It was a class off. Parjanya was sitting in her classroom, alone. It was a period before recess and it was off. Naturally, everyone was out. The house members were out to do away with their house activities, the studious were off to the library, few had bunked the next classes, the gaieties and bullies were out to search their scapegoats to make fun of and the lovers were busy at some corner of the premises with their romantic affair. Parjanya was had nothing to do. She had her book on the desk and was somewhat studying. She was doing it after days. Concentration appeared to be a bit difficult task to deal with. Life has been boisterous and so have been her relations and communications with others. But now she was trying to make the ends meet. She had to accept certain facts. She knew mom and Ashley were coming close. She was seventeen, she was matured enough to sense it. It was her second experience. Fundamentally she had no problem with it. It was so because she had drifted away from mom emotionally, dad has left her and definitely she required someone. She was ok with what mom was upto, until she would not decide to go away. And Parjanya knew mom would never do that. Even Ashley did not appear to be that mean or malevolent. But of course she knew it too that appearances are deceptive. She is not a facebook animal like others of her generation. She seldom opens her account from her laptop. She had opened it a few days back. There she found it why Jas was busy now-a-days. Parjanya’s notification showed it. “Shreeja Jas Choudhary in a relationship with Prateek Rajan” Parjanya wasn’t angry. She knew it beforehand, only now she was evidencing it and attempting to accept it. Afterwards it appeared funny. Jas had always been fastidious. She had pledged it that she would not get involve in any relation until a guy from Mills and Boon walks towards her and proposes her. And the conclusion was Prateek!! He was such a geek. What made Jas fall for him? Parjanya just could not understand it. How has Jas changed so much in this little time? Whatever, it was her life and it was only she who decided to go around with Prateek, it was she who decided that Parjanya was no more needed significantly as a friend. Parjanya respects Jas’ decision. Moreover, Parjanya has self-respect. She could never let it down. Parjanya was busy with her chemistry book. Chemistry always interested her. She had decided she would complete this chapter by today. Summer vacations would commence tomorrow. She had chalked it out all. She would complete it today. She remembers once Adrij said that he is facing a problem with this chapter. She would do this chapter for Adrij. She has been very worthless as a friend towards Adrij. She was still to pay him a visit. She would go to his place say him sorry and mend it by guiding Adrij in this chapter. She hopes that everything would be back to normal. She had to do it, for Adrij, for the sake of their friendship. “How dare you huh?”it was a screechy female voice. Parjanya probably knew who it was. She turned around and confirmed it. Yes it was Sameeran’s girlfriend. Parjanya had decided she would be arrogant with these two. She acted accordingly. “What’s actually wrong with you two?” asked Parjanya. Titash swiftly returned her, “How dare you to be so rude with Sameeran? I heard it all over the phone and from him…how..” Parjanya stopped her in the middle and replied, “Right you are, you just heard it. You haven’t seen anything. So hear a bit more from me now. Your Sameeran was walking blindly across the road, busy with you over the phone. Actually you should thank God that he just stumped with me. Thank God it wasn’t a truck or something.” Parjanya was a bit sarcastic on her last line. Titash was furious now. “Look whoever you are, whatever is your name, just keep away ok? Remember Sameeran is not a feeble guy to deal with ok?”Titash was trying to over tower Parjanya. But she could not accomplish it. “Hey stop it Titash!” Parjanya knew who it was. She looked and Titash also turned towards him. It was Adrij. He was standing there at the classroom’s door. A smile appeared on Parjanya’s face. Titash was about to say something. Adrij over heard her. “Titash I asked you and Sameeran to stay away from Parjanya, Ok? And I don’t want myself to repeat it.” Titash again was about to say something but she did not get a chance. “Parjanya lets go now. Your mom has got fever. She found my number from your phone and asked me to take you home. She needs you now. I have asked Principal mam. Let’s go now.” Parjanya tried to enquire, “But Adrij you…fever..” She was stopped by him. “Let’s go now, I‘ll tell on our way.” He stringed her out of the classroom. Titash was still standing there dumb.
