In fact, were so used to the constant annoying chatter of radio, tv, cellphones, texting, email; that we sometimes feel a little uncomfortable without it. It is almost as if we find being alone with just our thoughts a little scary. So how do you step aside from the noise of the world - since you dont have your own private desert island?... You do to your secret place. The first thing to know about secret places is, there is no one-size-fits-all model. For some it might be a walk in the park, or hiking a mountain trail. Mine is playing golf. You might not have a secret place now, but once you understand and admit that you want it, it will present itself. In fact, once you do find it you will wonder how you could have missed it for so long. And after youve spent some time there with God - pouring out your heart, and listening for his reply - you will wonder how you ever got along without it!
