30-year mortgage rate falls to 4.1%, a 2014 low!! WASHINGTON (AP) — Average long-term U.S. mortgage rates declined this week, with the 30-year loan rate hitting its low for the year. Mortgage company Freddie Mac says the nationwide average for a 30-year mortgage fell to 4.1% from 4.12% last week.
