36 hours off the ventilator and still going strong. If all is well on Monday they are going to see how well she can swallow...then maybe some real food for a change! Still weaning off the pain meds... going slow to monitor her pain and prevent any withdraw issues. She has lost quit a bit of hearing...thinking it is related to the antibiotics they will be looking into that next week as well...hoping it is only temporary. Still not sure if she is aware of the amount of time she has been here but she sure is anxious to get home. Asks several times a day if we are leaving tonight!
