3a) i.Biosphere is the zone of the earth occupied by living organisms. it is a layer of life which exists on the earth surface ii. Habitat is defined as an area occupied by a biotic community i.e. habitat is any environment in which an organism lives naturally e.g the habitat of the fish is water (3b)Example of a canivorous plant is sundew that possesses leaves capable of forming an organ to trap and digest insects. the upper surface of the leaf has a number of glandular or tentacles. The leaf surface is sticky as a result of disgestive gland in the plant. the ends of the tentacles secrete enzymes capable of digesting insects caught the presence of an insect on the leaf stimulates the leaf to fold over and turn all the tentacles inward. (3c) (i) It helps to prevent overcrowding of plants (ii) It results in colonization of new areas with new plants (iii) it prevents diseases from spreading among plants species (3d) Six Methods of Conserving soil -By applying manure -By avoiding bush burning -Preventing over grazing -Preventing Desforestation -Adoption of better farming practise e.g crop rotation - by avoiding soil erosion
