4-H Healthy Information Message: Physical activity is any movement of the body that requires energy, and everyone can really benefit by adding physical activities into their daily lives. Whether light activity, moderate (walking briskly, riding a bicycle, dancing, golf, etc.) or Vigorous (running, jogging, walking fast, swimming, aerobics, etc.), these are all activities that can add benefits to our health and help to increase our ability to live longer, sleep better, move around more easily, control weight, have stronger muscles and bones, and just feel better about ourselves. These activities also help to decrease the possibility of heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and strokes. Be sure to add physical activities in your daily lives!
