4. THE GIFT OF PROPHECY HOW IT CAN BE MANIFESTED MORE FREQUENTLY Coz this gift is so important,I want to share on how to activate it. First,you must desire it with all ua heart. Paul says covet to prophesy. It means to desire earnestly. Secondly,seek at all times to stay in the mood of worship. Thats where Gods Spirit communicated to,n thro u. The Spirit of God came upon men of God in OT when either they sang or requested an instrument to b played for them. Eg. 2 Kings 3:14 And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.16 And he said, Thus saith the LORD... The thus saith the Lord came as the man was stimulated by the music n the Spirit came on him. 1 Sam 10:5-6 ...and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them... 1Ch 25:3 Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah.., who prophesied with a harp.. (These were singers in the temple) Lastly,prophecy can b activated thro prayer n fasting eg. In 2 chr chapter 20, King Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast. During this fast a man prophesied of Gods victory. Fasting is a vital part if we want these gifts in our lives frequently.
