4 days of great music in Taipei are coming, starting tomorrow at Sappho, Matteo Sabattini Quintet from 21:30 to close (jam session in the 3rd set, so bring your instruments if you play). Matteos music is definitely worth hearing and its the first time its going to be performed in Taipei. Dont miss it! We will have Hope Yeh, Cyrille Briegel and Suyeh Liao joining us in the quintet. This concert will have a live stream on sappholive/ , so you can catch it even if youre not in the Taipei area. Friday Matteo and I are doing a masterclass at AOM (see below) 16:00 to 18:00, and a concert of Brazilian music at 20:00. Featuring the wonderful talent of Roberto Zayas on guitar and Rafael Lee Shou Hsin on percussion + ChoroFun band and other special guests. I am really looking forward to that one, its going to be a lot of fun! This concert will also be available on the live Internet video stream at aomshow/AOM/index.php Saturday is the concert Im personally most excited about, a piano-saxophone duo with Matteo at the beautiful Fazioli performance space in Jiantan (19:30, cfpiano.tw/cfpiano4_2.asp?num=206 ). This is a program weve spent 2 or 3 years developing, its a very special and personal mix of jazz and classical music and Im very happy to finally present it in Taipei. Hope to see many of my friends at these concerts!
