If you think of less than 2 pounds as a poor loss your expectations might be tripping you up. Re-evaluate your thoughts on what you want the scale to say each week. Find what your average weight loss is by taking 4 weeks and dividing by 4. If it falls within the healthy range, keep up the good work. If after a month you are averaging less than a half pound a week, look to see if there is something you can improve on when following the program.
