CAP - 1 Lecture on board ship by Dr. Betsie Nel Lecturer in Psychology, University of Stellenbosch, followed by possible visit to the institution. CAP - 2 Visit to the South African Museum to see the Bushman Exhibit Conflicts with CAP - 1 CAP-3 Mr. L.L. Sebe Minister of Agriculture and Forestry in the Ciskel will lecture on board. CAP - 4 An evening at the Hofmeyer Theater. Dr. Robert Mohr will host our group. CAP -5 Tuseday the 13th Professor Talbott will lecture on the ship before ascent by cable car, weather permitting. Students may take Box Lunches. Conflicts with CAP -6 - and 8 Limit 80 CAP - 6 Discussion of religions of South Africa by a Reformed Church Executive and a spokesman for the Coloreds, followed by a visit to churches. Conflicts with CAP 3, 5, 6, 8, CAP- 7 Lecture by Dr. Han S. marais, Chairman of the Trust Bank and visit banking facilities, Trust Bank Centre, Heerengracht - Cape Town. CAP - 8 Mr. Otto Schroeder, Chairman of the Department of Creative Arts, University of Stellenbosch, will host the students. Conflicts with CAP -4 5, 6, 8 CAP - 9 An Official from the U. S. Consulate will discuss U.S. - S.A relations on board ship. CAP -10 Wednesday (I went on this trip) All day trip, to Cape Point, adn the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. I also recall the school had arranged a meeting for the students with Dr. Christian Barnard the first Doctor to transplant a heart from one person to another. However at the last minute he was either NOT allowed to visit or had an emergency at the Hospital. I do not recall which it was...
