48,000 and pushing my way to 50,000! Here is a requested taste of the novel out of chapter 1. Still will be a rough draft, but this section will give you a taste! Thanks for all the support! Taken from Chapter 1, Conquest of the Uncreated by Tim Atterberry! “Who are you?” Nathan asked. His eyes wondered over the man’s appearance for some kind of clue. His awareness level had been keen ever since he had left the military. His time at war had lasting affects and brought about quick judgments in unusual situations. Nathan often thought it was the gift of God in the prophetic ministry and his experience in the military that made him into a very discerning prophet, and therefore his solitary choice of lifestyle. As his eyes scanned the man’s blonde hair and his tall stature, approximately 6’5’’. He noticed that his light blue eyes seemed almost transparent on the surface looking like a they were hollow inside, but filled with depths of color as if you were peering into shallow blue water. He looked young and clean-shaven, maybe in his late 20’s. Strangely, he was wearing garments that would fit a desert character more than a mountain man. His clothes looked like layers of white wool, soft, and clean--very unexpected in the wilderness. He wore brown sandals and had a bluish color sash over his right shoulder. The material of the sash was odd, almost futuristic in appearance. It had sheen like it was made of a metallic material like a type of Kevlar. Nathan looked back into the strangers eyes, his head full of questions. The stranger spoke as if to deflect Nathan’s first question. “I have come to show you the way.” His voice sounded like you could hear several soft voices hidden within it. Nathan took a few steps backward as his equilibrium took another trip. He glanced at the ground to find secure footing. The sun was at about three o’clock, shining down creating a stretched out shadow from Nathan’s foot toward the east, and toward the stranger standing in front of him. It was then Nathan realized the man had no shadow. He realized without a doubt this experience was otherworldly...
