She uses a multisensory approach that truly incorporates facilitating learning in a systematic and logical sequence. Combining lively visuals and giving each letter its own storyline, the letters are presented by how a child learns the stroke or formation by its kinesthetic feel or motor sequence rather than in alphabetical order. For example, by capitalizing on already having learned how to make an F, the motor sequence is only changed slightly to then learn how to make an E. By changing things up just a little, and adding additional avenues of input, it makes the sequence stick for early learners that struggle with letter formation. Prompts are gradually faded on the learning pages to forming letters on ruled paper, to aid with proper positioning. Helping a child with the correct sequence when forming a stroke or letter, is truly a gift, as incorrect formation down the road, hampers flow of thought because of the effort needed to write.
