5 random predictions for the second half of the NFL season… 1) The Kansas City Chiefs will not continue their pace and will be shown to just be a pretty good team that has been playing really subpar competition. Their schedule is much tougher in the second half and they will finish at only 11-5. Still a great improvement but they will lose in the first round of the playoffs. 2) Jacksonville will go 0-16. Take it from someone who knows – it takes a truly horrible team to go winless, and for all their dysfunction Tampa Bay has too much talent. Jacksonville does not and will join the 2008 Lions in infamy! 3) Detroit will win the NFC North with a record of either 11-5 or 12-4. The Aaron Rodgers injury opened up a huge door for the Lions and they will capitalize on it (and may even get a first round bye, if they finish 12-4 and the Saints fall of a bit). 4) Peyton Manning will win the MVP (no surpise), but Calvin Johnson will win Offensive Player of the Year after finishing with 1700 yards and 15 touchdowns. 5) After throwing 7 touchdown passes in one game last week, Nick Foles will only throw 7 more touchdown passes the rest of the season.
