5 years ago today started a journey of my life I never expected to take. One month after having my annual physical I found a lump in my left breast. I told myself that it was from the medication my dr. had put me on or starting a workout routine with a trainer and ignored it. After another month had gone by the lump was still there so I decided to go see my OB/GYN who sent me for a mammogram. That day they ended up taking a biopsy right away and, because of my persistence on an answer, unofficially told me I had breast cancer! Words I never thought I would hear. Thankfully, I had a great team of doctors and a ton of support from family and friends to help me get thru the events to come. I just want to thank each and everyone of you that have helped me get thru this time of my life. I especially want to thank my husband, Nicholas Steffanni, for putting up with my emotional roller coaster. I love you very much and dont know what I would have done without you. I have had my ups and downs, but everything at this point is going well and I know that there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel that was handed to me.
