50 yrs as a Singaporean, I’m proud of SBC/Mediacorp. A few shows like Awakening n Little Nonya r great classics. When we lived in HK, we looked forward to VCR tapes of “Under One Roof” n “Don’t Worry B Happy”- lovingly recorded by my dad n sent to us monthly. For yrs, my elder girl laughed at the same jokes again n again as if she was hearing for the first time. It was a great way to get her connected to Singapore “living” in HDB/hawker ctrs. 20 yrs later, we still laugh together at jokes in NOOSE. With Catch-up TV n Toggle on internet, we now watch TV shows at our own convenience- not together. In recent yrs, there’s hardly any TV serial that got us to watch together, but we do enjoy watching the annual STAR award. Proud that there r still some gd local talents in Sgp like Rui En, Xiang Yun, Chen Su Chen fr different generations despite fierce competition fr Korean/HK/China shows.
