The author the song takes it’s title from is well known for his romantic obsessions over pointlessness and drudgery of modern day life; a way of thinking that’s easy to immerse yourself in like a warm blanket. The song admits that “yeah, I know he’s a pretty good read, but god who’d want to be such an asshole”. At heart it’s a song about pulling your damn pants up and about keep moving forward, because “One time out of ten, everything is perfect for us all”.
