6/24/13 Corn closed lower today as "rain makes grain" mentality surfaced. Without discussions of a drought, it is hard to get corn to rally. Producers around the country are reporting that corn pollination will occur the 3rd week of July, so watch next weeks extended weather forecasts. Soybeans were higher today with old crop leading the way on firm domestic basis. Positive crush margins are the driving force behind the demand for old crop.
