6:32 pm Sorry for the delayed post. Well 2 titanium rods and 26 pedicle screws later, Marlo is done! She was out of surgery around 4:15 and we waited to speak to the surgeon for about an hour. He told us the surgery was INCREDIBLY successful. He was able to straighten her spine considerably more than we thought and I am beyond grateful for that. She is now in the ICU and weve had a few serious episodes of hypotension (low blood pressure) so its been a little tense and busy with the amazing team here getting her stable. They had to reduce her pain meds to stabilize her pressure so shes a little grumpy but considerably more polite than anyone has a right to be in this case. She is quite groggy and in pain...they are doing their best to manage it. Its going to be a long night but she is done! Whew.....thanks for the prayers and well wishes. We are feeling very loved!
