She gave me a hug, gave Thando an apologetic smile and walked off to her friends. I went over to a clearly irritated Thando and pulled him to the car. Me: I’m sorry for keeping you waiting. Dad started the car and carried on talking to his wife. Ayanda: Lisa? Me: Yes babe? Ayanda: Mom and dad were kissing again. We all laughed and Buhle kissed dads cheek just to spite her. Dad: You know I’ve always wondered what you were like. How you would look, your laugh, your eyes. Thando was all I had and I protected him. When I actually saw that you were ali- I didn’t wanna cry so early in the morning. Me: Dad! Stop, stop okay you’re gonna make me cry and I don’t feel like it. He laughed and ordered me to sit down. Me: Breakfast in bed! I shouted. Dad: Shhh… And he carried the tray upstairs. I never knew my dad was such a romantic! This was cute and I was loving it :”) I began imagining my future with Okuhle while taking a bite off my bacon. I took a look at my ring then my smile broadened.
