6 WAYS TO KEEP HOLINESS ON THE FRONT BURNER The message of holiness must always be a front burner issue. No matter the times or their temper, the holiness message is eternally relevant. But that relevance needs to be emphasized in the local church as never before. 1. Preach and teach it regularly. Put it on your church calendar, and feature it in a sermon and/or lesson series at least twice each year. 2. Mention it continually. Use a classic or contemporary holiness quote or Scripture verse in the classroom, boardroom, or from the platform. 3. Include it in your membership training. Make it a segment in your training on church beliefs. 4. Feature it prominently in your church library. Make a holiness classic the “book of the month,” and create an attractive display that includes quotes from the book or book jacket. 5. Emphasize it cross-generationally. Teach it to each age level regularly. Illustrate its practical applications on the audience’s level of understanding. 6. Testify of it. Be its walking truth. Practice its principles in life and ministry. Tell others of its strengthening and empowering results. ST
