6pm, this evening, FestiveAll Drum Circle, in Davis Park, we usually set up on the grass, off Capital St, but if its raining or looks like it could, we will set up in the Gazeebo, for all ages, and levels, we have extra percussion and some drums: Join with us to create community songs, ‘soundscapes’, and musical collages’ from simple rhythmic building blocks that emerge into something greater with your creativity, active listening, and more imagination. Dancers and hooper’s are always welcome. Bring a drum and other percussion instruments, (possibly a chair), and family and friends! Some instruments will be available. No experience necessary. These are facilitated Drum Circle’s led by Shelia McEntee. The benefits of a facilitated drum circle: It allows everyone, from young children to the elderly, to be an equal part of the music making - No experience is necessary - It is truly a community event - Participants are encouraged to express themselves rhythmically without any pressure to "get it right" - Everyone contributes their rhythms to the circle and an amazing group song results.
