{#7 Issue: Blame anyone but us: Douglas Alexander has cautioned parliamentary colleagues against allowing anti-Semitism to go unchecked in campaign rhetoric in the run up to the May election.} Speaking in Paris, the Shadow Foreign Secretary highlighted criticism of the Israeli government, which he claimed occasionally “gives way to some of the most familiar kinds of prejudices”. He added: “Silence is the co-conspirator of evil in confronting the virus of anti-Semitism...We know that anti-Semitism festers in the murmurings and mutterings that are too often left unchecked.”
