7 months ago Patch arrived in Las Vegas from a hard life in Saudi Arabia thanks to Hope For Paws, The Kris Kelly Foundation & our amazing volunteer Natalie! He had an improperly healed old broken leg, and was wary of new people. Thanks to Hope for Paws sponsoring his medical we were able to get him in right away to see Dr. Mason at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center who was quick to get him into surgery and reset his leg! After two cast, exercise restrictions, and quite a bit of work on some of his less desirable behaviors Patch made a full recovery and was cleared for adoption. We waited and we waited and we wondered why such an adorable boy wasnt getting any interest. Well - now we know why. Michelle & Dan. Michelle had scoured the internet looking for a dog to catch her eye and Patch was the only one she felt a connection too. From very early on in their emails we had a feeling that they just might be the perfect match . . . okay we were pretty worried how Patch would feel about the bird, but we had good feelings. So on Christmas Eve Patch started his trial with his new family and we are happy to report that things are going well! They are still obviously in an adjustment period, but Patch is loving his new place and especially his new mom! Rumor has it he spends every evening on the couch between mom and dad with his love bird sister Sophie nearby! We cant wait to finalize this one!!!
