Previous Students from this course have been accepted on the APL program and their BAIRD course has been accredited towards the academic modules of year one of the MSc program in Implant Dentistry at UCLAN University in the U.K. Successful candidates of our course in previous years have been offered a “ Post Graduate Academic Certificate” from UCLAN university, upon successfully completing the clinical assessment at UCLAN University, and been invited to continue their 2nd and 3rd year in the MSc program at UCLAN. This unique course in Clinical & Evidence Based Dental Implantology is a clinical, multi-system, dental implant course which will enable the delegates to make an informed evidence based decisions in their day to day dental implant practice and will train delegates to place and restore dental implants according to the standards of the General Dental Council, Royal College of Surgeons and The British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry. The course will include: Seminars presented by prominent dental implants speakers, Surgical and Restorative implant hands - on training on models and animal heads ( surgical and restorative training offered by various dental implants systems, guided bone regeneration & soft tissue grafting), Clinical mentoring sessions with approved clinical mentors in your country and an optional three-day clinical attachment visit to dental implant referral centers in the United Kingdom. COURSE ASSESSMENT & DEGREE To meet the General Dental Council and The British Academy of Implant Dentistry requirements for dental implant training in the UK, and as part of preparing you for the Dental Implants Diploma exams from the British Academy of Implant & restorative dentistry and The UCLAN University, formative assessment and feedback will be provided in seminars and after case study discussions. Summative assessment will be carried out via a multiple choice questionnaire at the end of the course. Specific case-based discussion and structured feedback proformas will also be used to give formative assessment of your clinical case presentation at the end of the course. Course delegates will be awarded “ A Course Certificate with the 120 CPD hours from the British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry” upon successfully completing the course modules and passing the course exams. However, passing the course exam will qualify the successful delegates to be exempted form the part A exam of the Diploma in Implant & Restorative Dentistry exams by the British Academy Of Implant & Restorative Dentistry and will qualify them to directly sit part B exam following the successful submission of four clinical cases. The Diploma in Implant Dentistry by The British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry (Dip Imp Dent BAIRD) will be awarded to successful dentists in a graduation ceremony in the United Kingdom.
