72% of this vote want the Manus Island and Nauru detention gulags closed. Australia must become a compassionate country. We need to turn to heartfulness in politics and how we deal with the rest of the world. We have allowed our government to exercise cruelty to those who desperately seek our help. We have locked them up on desolate islands where they are further traumatised and even murdered. That blood is on all our hands. We have become so immune from the suffering we impart that now we are now numb dumb. Now this same cruel new australian order is punishing our own poor - our pensioners and even our children. What will we do if they solve youth unemployment and starvation by building poor houses and locking the young unemployed up where we cant hear their pleas?
