8 years ago on this day, I remember approaching a retiring farmer-neighbor at his grain bin site about allowing me an opportunity that would change the course of my life forever by leasing one of his quarter-sections of farm land at age 15. Today I celebrate with a word of thanks to everyone who has helped and guided me along the way with the creation and growth of EK Farms. The article below was written about my farm in the High Plains Journal from 2008 when EK Farms was only two years old and being operated mostly as an FFA project and a way to pay for college.
