88th Regional Support Command conducted a Facility Coordinators Workshop at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, September 3-4. This workshop instructed Facility Coordinators from throughout the 88th RSC’s 19 state region on basic Base Operations functions at the Army Reserve Center level. Facility Coordinators responsibilities include initiating work orders, resolving space allocation disputes, environmental compliance, physical security, mail room, safety, and information technology issues. Approximately 65 Facility Coordinators attended this September course. 88th RSC intends to offer more FC workshops in FY15. “So far the response has been extremely positive. There has been no formal Facility Coordinator instruction in the USAR since the Army Reserve Technician Training Center offered a similar course approximately 5 years ago, since discontinued,” said Lt. Col. Michael Ryan, chief of plans, 88th RSC Directorate of Public Works.
